After reviewing all of your arguments, this is what I, as your CT Rep/Councilor, have to say.
Firstly, the time-slot is a little too demanding and risky. Our decision to go to the airport at that time has not been made known to the teachers. Whether the teachers will praise us for our sense of punctuality and promptness or reprimand us for making a scene at the airport is very uncertain. I personally am not favoring to take that kind of risk.
Though I agree with Lucas that all of us should be more emotionally resilient, it is unfair to our classmates that the whole class should arrive nearly 2 hours earlier than the rest of the cohort. Many parents would object to such an arrangement and would think that this is the Teacher's (in other words Ms Toh) doing. And then Ms Toh will get called up, and -bam- we are in trouble again. I am not interested in incurring the wrath of both teachers AND parents even before the trip has started. Have some sensitivty and tact in this arrangement Lucas, it carries a very great risk.
Even if we do make a final arrangement, who are we to say that everyone will turn up at that time-slot. I can personally vouch that Willie is unaware of this current arrangement. Personally, I feel that rehearsing in school would be best, but not in the afternoon as Kevin suggested, but in the morning. We could have a quick 1 to 2 hour rehearsal then go back home and prepare our stuff for the flight later in the night.
And oh yes, even if we do come at 7.45, we might not even be able to check in yet. So it will be time wasted.
