K- Night Alterations

Hi everyone. A copy of the Koreanicles script (including casting, props, and synopsis) has been sent to everyone (to your email.) If you have not recieved it, please tell me and I will resend it to you. Please print out the script and bring it to school on Monday especially if you are acting.

However, some changes have been made to the script which Adeeb has sent to all of you. These are highlighted in lighter brown.

CASTING:

- ‘Hide-and-seek’ children: Yasmin (youngest, most childish), Lucas (eldest, sensible, mature), Gracilia (in the middle, bossy), Kevin (in the middle, scaredy-cat, childish)

- Narrator: Norman

- Romantic Korean ‘songbird’ couple: Timothy and Xian Hui

- The Guide (in Korea): Adeeb

- Korean passers by: Xue Ya, Darren, Asyraf, Meng Xi, Shermaine, Yiwen, Peijia, Leonie, Ashley

-The Kimchi sellers: Jieqi and Simin

- People who play harmonica (during scene changes) - Hui Juan, Wan Qing, Amanda

The following actors will have a speaking/playing musical instruments role: Timothy, Xian Hui, Yiwen, Peijia, Leonie, Ashley, Lucas, Yasmin, Kevin, Gracilia, Wan Qing, Amanda, Hui Juan, Adeeb, Norman, Jieqi and/or Simin.

PLEASE NOTE: people who are free may have to join the crew along with Willie, Umar, Gabriel, and Yi Nan.

PROPS: (with more detail)

1. HDB flats

• 3 Signs to stick on the pillars: 1. 'Keep our HDB clean' 2. 'No smoking' 3. 'No cycling'
  
• HDB backdrop (if possible.)
  
• Large cardboard box (for hiding in- this does not necessarily have to be a box, it can just look like one. should be able to 'fit' 4 people.)
  

2. Korea

• 4 to 6 Samsung Ads, posters, (some of these may be incorporated into the city backdrop)
• phones
  
• 2 to 3 Korean Sign Boards (with Korean characters)
  

3. Tour scene

• City Sky line backdrop
• Seoul Tower Silhouette (simin has finished)
  
• Bright lights
• 2 'korean looking' bowls
• 2 pairs of chopsticks (the metal korean type would be better)
• 1 kimchi selling stall. This should be portable and its design is not determined- it could even just be a sign board and a stool.
  

4. Others

• Torch lights (these can be brought by individual people

Changes have also been made to the script itself to incorporate the new actors. The script will be sent to all actors by Sunday.
